If you are sending something of value or in a package larger than a Flat Rate Box by US Mail, please use a signature required option, otherwise the mail carrier will tend to leave packages out at the box instead of bringing them to the shop.

Special Note in Regard to Shipping Firearms to Us-

Do not just ship a firearm into us without prior approval. We are constantly booked ahead with work and therefore schedule everything. Depending on the services requested a customer will most likely need to be placed on a waiting list.

When shipping in a firearm for work make sure you include YOUR Contact info even if you ship through an FFL unless the FFL is acting as your agent and is able to make decisions on the work to be done. Also PLEASE include a list of work or at least a general reason you are sending your firearm in.

Be aware that individuals cannot ship or receive handguns through the US Mail. Only FFL’s can ship handguns to FFL’s through the US Mail.

If a firearm is being shipped from an FFL to us you need to include a copy of your FFL, properly filled out, for our records. Failure to do so will result in a delay in us providing any services requested.  We will not accept a firearm from a California FFL for any reason, see below.

Special Note for Handguns being sent in for work-

All handguns coming into and leaving the shop require some type of firearm lock. This follows rules as specified in the “Child Safety Lock Act of 2005”.  Those customers who send in a handgun that does not have a locking device will be charged for one that we provide to comply with the CSLA.

Special Note for California Residents-

Tank’s Rifle Shop LLC is not registered with the California DOJ. This means that we will not accept shipments from any California FFL for work since we are not able to return them as required under California law. We can only receive firearms from individuals. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
